Pirate Latitudes Environment Sketches

These Concepts are a Personal Project that I worked on for Michael Crichton’s – Pirate Latitudes. After reading his book about Swashbuckling Privateers in 1665 Jamaica, I was hooked! I wanted to design, and World Build some of the Key Locations in the novel. In addition to creating a rich atmosphere and mood I wanted a lot of specifics in my set designs. In Crichton’s book - he paints such vivid pictures of these backdrops for the characters stories to unfold, my hope was I could capture the integrity of that with these visuals.
